I was amazed to find I could get paid for filling in surveys online as I thought the internet was just something you do for fun. A friend told me about it initially and I was a little suspicious. I asked her why anyone would want to pay me for my opinion and I wanted to know what you have to do.

I have been doing this for a few months now and I can't say it has made me rich. I have made a few extra dollars to help with some of those extras and the money has come in handy. Most times you get a dollar or two but it can vary a lot up or down depending on what the survey is about. It sometimes takes only a few minutes to complete a survey and I like the fact that my opinion matters to someone.

It isn't hard to see why they are prepared to pay you. Consumer's opinions are important to large companies when they are planning to invest millions of dollars in a new product. You may get asked about all sorts of products or sevices and they may ask your opinions about politicians or make-up or anything else. If you don't have an opinion about something or simply don't know anything about it you can usually answer 'don't know'.

I enjoy getting the extra cash though you may not get any surveys at all for a while and then get several come through. I like to fill out surveys when the kids have gone to bed and I find it a relaxing thing to do.

It is very easy to complete surveys so I would say to anyone they should take a look and see what they think. Getting paid for telling a survey company what you think about some consumer goods seems like a pretty good deal to me. I have seen people saying you could make lots of money by getting paid to fill out surveys and I guess that is possible. Treat these online surveys as a bit of extra money now and again as you are unlikely to get enough to make a full time job out of it.

Many companies use the Internet as it is a better way to get a sense of what people find attractive about their product or service. The company would pay a survey company to prepare a survey that asks what they need to know and then ask it's member panel to answer those questions.

A survey would then be offered to individuals who fit the company’s profile of a potential customer for this particular product or service. An incentive is offered to encourage people to take the survey so some form of reward is offered. Some of the paid online surveys offer money or gift certificates and occasionally they may offer a prize draw to all who complete the survey.
